Exciting news for Honda! They are going to be the first major manufacturer to enter the electric racing this summer. Honda’s close partner Mugen will also be entering the Isle of Man TT Zero. This is a historical moment both for electric motorcycles and manufacturer that one its first race at the TT in 1959.

Electric innovators such as MotoCzysz will also be competing in the race, vying to be the first to lap the 37.7 mile Mountain course at an average speed of 100mph.

In a statement from Mugen, an insider said: ‘We are keen to use this excellent event to educate and prepare the engineers of the next generation for the use of future technology.’

During recent years it has become apparent that Honda has shown a keen interest in electric motorcycles. Honda launched its first electric motorcycle, the Honda RE-C last year at the Tokyo Motor Show.

So what do you think about this??
